Tom Trometer, Financial Services is a seven-year old sole proprietorship focused on the financial needs of the small to medium sized businesses. I am a CPA with over 25 years experience in both public accounting and industry (public as well as private companies). I was previously the VP Finance of Opta Food Ingredients a publicly traded food biotech company and VP and CFO of CableSoft a privately funded interactive TV software company. Prior to that I was employed at Price Waterhouse, in the small business practice where I worked with startup and venture backed companies. I also have relationships with full service accounting and tax practices in order to assist your business in achieving success.

The services I provide include, but are not limited to, the following:

Modeling, Budgeting and Forecasting − Used in connection with fund raising as well as the annual budgeting cycle or product pricing.
Cash Flow Monitoring − Cash is the most important asset at small to medium sized business, I have developed a variety of monitoring techniques to ensure businesses have enough runway to be successful.
Contract Review − Ensure customer contracts meet the appropriate revenue recognition guidelines and negotiate vendor contracts to minimize cash outflow.
Business and Financial Planning − Assist in fund raising, including business plan editing, mergers and acquisition transactions, and strategic planning.
Banking − Establish and maintain appropriate banking relationships ensuring appropriate investing and borrowing facilities are available.
General Accounting Services − Working with management and accounting staff in establishing the appropriate controls and procedures in order to produce accurate and timely monthly financial packages for Board, Shareholder, internal and external use.
Administrative Assistance − Human Resources, such as benefits and policies and procedures; Risk Management, such as ensuring insurance needs are met; and Office Management, working with office manager to ensure office functions are smooth and efficient.
Special Projects − Addressed on an as needed basis.
